MAKING FLAX WATER

2 tbsp flax
1 cup of water
HEAT to boiling then cover and reduce heat to simmer until thick.

Takes about 1 hour to make.
Recipe makes about 1/2 cup of flax water.

Always only make the amount of flax water you need for today. Discard extra flax water – do not store it in the fridge.

MAKING SALT/KELP MIX

Mix 1 part kelp and 4 parts salt in large glass jar.
Put kelp in first and mix constantly while adding salt.

CONVERSIONS

1 tsp = 5 ml
1 tbsp = 15 ml
1 cup = 250 ml

1 tbsp = 3 tsp
1 cup = 16 tbsp

 

Edibles

REGULAR CHOCOLATE CHIP

7 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt/kelp

MIX

5 eggs (beaten)
1 1/2 cups butter
2 cups sugar

MIX

1 1/2 cups dark choc chips

MIX LIGHTLY

Bake at 250F for 24 mins.
Rotate trays at 12 mins.
Recipe makes 40-45 cookies.

4 cookies to a bag.
Use appropriate size bag.

 

DOUBLE CHOCOLATE

7 cups flour
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt/kelp
1 cup cocoa powder

MIX

7 eggs (beaten)
1 1/2 cups butter
2 cups sugar

MIX

1 1/2 cups dark choc chips

MIX LIGHTLY

Bake at 250F for 24 mins.
Rotate trays at 12 mins.
Recipe makes 40-45 cookies.

PEANUT BUTTER

7 cups flour
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt/kelp

MIX

4 eggs (beaten)
1 1/2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 jar peanut butter

MIX

Tray 1/2 dough, then add 3/4 cup dark choc chips.
Mix lightly and tray rest of dough.

Bake at 250F for 24 mins.
Rotate trays at 12 mins.
Recipe makes 40-45 cookies.

GINGER

8 cups flour
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt/kelp
4 tbsp powdered ginger

MIX

4 eggs (beaten)
1 cup molasses
1 1/2 cups butter
1 1/2 cups sugar

MIX

Bake at 250F for 24 mins.
Rotate trays at 12 mins.
Recipe makes 40-45 cookies.

OATMEAL

4 1/2 cups flour
4 1/2 cups oats
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt/kelp
4 tsp clove powder
2 tbsp cinnamon powder

MIX

5 eggs (beaten)
1 1/2 cups butter
1 cup honey
1 cup sugar

MIX

1 cup chopped apricots

MIX LIGHTLY

Bake at 250F for 24 mins.
Rotate trays at 12 mins.
Recipe makes 40-45 cookies.

BUDDHA BALLS

4 cups oats
3 cups coconut
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 1/2 cups whey protein
1 1/2 cups soy protein
1/2 cup hemp hearts
1/3 cup hemp protein

MIX

1 cup buddha ball oil

MIX

1 1/2 cups honey
If making choc. chip balls, add 1 cup choc. chips.

MIX

Use hands to press into balls.
Coat with coconut.

Recipe makes 24 balls.
Put balls in fridge so they can harden.

4 balls to a bag.
Use appropriate size bag.

KAMUT CRISPY SQUARES

Coat large saucepan with 1/3 cup Stalk Oil and
1/3 cup regular (not canna) butter.

Heat on low and add 500g marshmallows.
Stir constantly so butter doesn’t burn while marshmallows melt.

Mix in 1 bag of kamut puffs and 1/2 cup hemp hearts.

Mix well and put in pan.
Flatten and put in fridge to cool.

Cut into 48 squares (6×8).
One square to a bag.
Use non-zip lock bags and seal by tying a knot in the bag.

LOZENGES (two day process)

DAY 1:
Make flax water. Only make what you need for today.

5 tbsp slippery elm bark
2 1/2 cups frozen or dried goji berries

BLEND to make 2 cups of powder.

2 tbsp flax water
1/3 cup extra strength oil

MIX

Lightly coat red jello jiggler tray with lecithin.
Add mix to tray.
Put tray in fridge to harden overnight.

DAY 2:
Cut small wax paper sheets in half.
Wrap hardened lozenges in wax paper.
Twist the ends shut.

Daytime Buddies

Make flax water. Only make what you need for today.

Grind 5 cups oats = 4 cups oat flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt/kelp
1/2 cup hemp hearts

MIX

1/2 cup flax water
2/3 cup extra strength oil
2/3 cup sugar

MIX

Use tbsp to make little cookies.
Bake at 250F for 24 mins.
Rotate trays at 12 mins.
Recipe makes about 80 cookies.

Topicals

MASSAGE OILS

For all massage oils:
Heat the herbal infusion if it is cloudy before using it.
Stir the final mix thoroughly before bottling.
Bottle into 50 ml bottles.
Screw lids on very tightly.

Note: our vitamin E is very strong and you should avoid getting it on your hands or clothes, and it is dangerous to ingest any amount of it.

REGULAR
Add 25 ml vitamin E.

PEPPERMINT EUCALYPTUS
Add 25 ml vitamin E.
Add 20 drops eucalyptus essential oil.
Add 10 drops peppermint essential oil.

CAMPHOR
Add 25 ml vitamin E.
Add 33 drops of camphor oil and mix slowly.

ARNICA / ST JOHNS / WILD YAM
Mix 25 ml vitamin E with 500 ml of respective herbal infusion and add to oil.

COMFREY
Mix 25 ml vitamin E with 500 ml comfrey infusion.
Add 2/3 cup hempseed oil.

REGULAR SALVE

Use a large glass jar to melt 1/3 jar (1 1/3 cups) beeswax by double boiling it.

Warm 1/2 jar (2 cups) massage oil.
Add 25 ml vitamin E and stir well.

Add melted wax to massage oil and stir thoroughly.
Cool partially before bottling.

Bottle in small brown jars (4 oz).
Recipe makes about 16 jars.

GREEN LION SALVE

Use a large glass jar to melt 1/5 to 1/4 jar beeswax by double boiling it.

Warm 1/2 jar massage oil.
Add the following drops os essential oils:
14 eucalyptus, 14 camphor, 13 menthol, 1 lavender, 14 tea tree, 13 wintergreen, 15 cinnamon, 13 peppermint.

Add melted wax to massage oil and stir thoroughly.
Cool partially before bottling.

Bottle in small brown jars (4 oz).
Recipe makes about 14 jars.

LIP BALM

Use a glass jar to melt 1/2 cup beeswax and 1/2 cup shea butter by double boiling it.

Warm 3/4 cup massage oil.
Add 1/4 cup calendula oil.
Add 1/3 cup vitamin E

Stir thoroughly.

Bottle in lip balm bottles.
Leave in fridge overnight to solidify.
